Wondering what the business of video games looks like, or already aspiring to work in the games industry for some time? We offer one of few opportunities in The Netherlands to start working in the business-side of the industry with the role as business development intern. Working with international partners, we are a great place to kickstart your career and build a professional network.
Werkzaamheden
We are looking for an ambitious business student to join the business development team. The focus of the internship will be on:

The current activities and the growth of Representing Games, and assisting the company on the business side in general.

Recognizing the needs of our clients and enabling the business development team to fulfil those needs.

Finding new potential clients and developing new ways to find them.

Exploring new business opportunities.
You will work within a small and dedicated team. As a team of 7, we work together to make every partnership a success, and your input and contribution is valuable to us.
We work in an office in Utrecht, within the Dutch Game Garden. Our office is easily accessible with public transport and by bike. This internship can be partly remote, but we highly encourage you to be present on-site whenever you can, so you will learn the ropes at the office but can also work from home once you are up to speed.
Activities:

Supporting our business developers in establishing connections between different parties in the games industry

Supporting our business developers in finding new potential clients and opportunities

Data gathering about international game studios, publishers, investors, and other organizations

Social media postings on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and sharing relevant posts of our partners

CRM updates, administration activities, and creating commercial proposals.

Work on tasks such as updating/improving company decks and presentations

Contribute to improvements in our services and products

Supporting your other colleagues when needed
Gewenste profiel
Your profile:
-
Your English is on a professional level, both orally and in writing, and you consider yourself able to communicate with customers from all over the world once you have learned the ropes

You work precisely and you are enthusiastic, independent, and can handle a fair amount of responsibility
-
You are eager to improve both your general business- and games industry specific knowledge and skills
-
You are currently enrolled in a relevant field of study such as business administration, marketing, creative business or business studies, and have progressed to the third or fourth year of college or university (HBO/WO)

You have experience in working with Excel/Sheets and understand the basics of CRM systems and working with data, having some graphic design skills (in terms of working on our decks and presentations) would be a nice bonus

You have affinity with video games, as you will be actively involved in collecting games-related data and putting it into context

Extensive knowledge about the games industry is not required, but it’s a big plus if you already know some things and aspire to (potentially) work in the industry long term

Next to our event-focused activities we have our subdivision Representing Games, which will be a large focus area during this internship. Representing Games provides business development and consultancy services to companies in the video games industry. The subdivision actively works with clients such as game development studios, publishers, investors, government organizations, and many more on providing advice, finding potential business partners, and connecting them to the key people working there.
