The Global Alliance for Banking on Values is an independent network of banks using finance to deliver sustainable development for unserved people, communities and the environment.
Members of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) are leading sustainable banks whose central mission is to use finance to foster a society that values human development, social cohesion and responsibility for the natural environment. The network's representatives are CEOs and senior bankers from member institutions.
The GABV's secretariat is hosted at dit bedrijf, a member and founder of the GABV. dit bedrijf finances companies, institutions and projects that add cultural value and benefit people and the environment, with the support of depositors and investors who want to encourage a more sustainable society. Developing from a small pioneering organisation that began more than 30 years ago, dit bedrijf has become a diversified Group with specialist expertise, including the bank, fund management, project development, investment management, venture capital funds and private banking, all built on an ethical and sustainable approach to finance.
INTERN - COMMUNICATIONS
For the Global Alliance for Banking on Values we are looking for an intern for the minimum 4 months from 16-32 hours p/w.
The intern will be working for the GABV from the Head Office of dit bedrijf located in Zeist, The Netherlands.
During the internship the student will gain knowledge of sustainable finance and banking as well as hands-on experience of communicating the impact of the world's leading sustainable banks to a variety of audiences. There are three key types of tasks:
Content creation; e.g. sourcing and drafting stories, preparing the GABV e-zine, updating member information, and helping to improve the current content and presentation of GABV materials
Content delivery through use of the GABV's website and social media channels and production of non-electronic materials on a limited basis (e.g. print, exhibitions, etc.)
Organisational tasks; e.g. assisting in developing channels and implementing content, providing administrative support for events, updating member information, supporting the development of the GABV’s thought leadership action track, and other administrative tasks as appropriate
Relevant Bachelor or Master students with a clear interest in Sustainability / Sustainable Finance and communications and/or marketing
A strong command of written and spoken English is necessary as all communication tasks are conducted in English
Interest in Banking and the Financial Industry as well as sustainability and social development
Experience in online communication and exploiting social media channels
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to manage a variety of tasks associated with events and other activities, such as writing meeting minutes, chasing information from members, and ensuring materials have been appropriately reviewed and agreed before posting
Flexibility to respond to a variety of different tasks and to deliver under pressure during spikes in activity
Able to work independently although you will work closely within a small secretariat
Please be aware that we can only consider applicants that already have a valid work and residence permit for The Netherlands and that are registered as a student throughout the internship period
