dit bedrijf is a premium supplier of industrial valve safety solutions such as interlocks, valve position indicators, partial stroke testing devices and portable valve actuators. Our greatest strength is in providing simple and reliable custom-made solutions.
dit bedrijf is a global market leader in process valve interlocking, delivering and designing solutions used by most end users in the oil and gas industry and which are often regarded as an industry standard.
Leveraging on this market leadership, dit bedrijf has started a new global R&D and New Product Development center (headquartered in Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands), in May 2012. Being operational now for almost 2 years, this has already resulted in numerous (shorter and longer term) research and development programs, all focusing on next generation, intelligent valve safety solutions.
Part of the successful dit bedrijf R&D/NPD model, is the structural integration in its organization of a team of interns, continuously working on adding new intelligent features, and developing completely new safety system concepts.

Having developed some new next generation concepts and research directions, a new team (of at least four full-time interns) is needed to take on this effort, starting from February 2014
Because of the broad range and diversity of activities, interns are needed with a background in one or more of these fields:
Product development & design (Autodesk Inventor);
Application research (product features, needs, specifications, in cooperation with sales & customers);
Concept development (incl. specification & certification where needed);
Product testing & validation (prototyping, concept & product);
Internship program approach dit bedrijf, as a part of the HALMA group of companies ( http://www.halma.com ) has an outside-in approach to new product development, in which it strongly focusses on multidisciplinary, multi-party co-developments. This concerns our customers, suppliers, (international) sister companies, and where needed other institutions or universities. Examples of technology building blocks which currently are part of the different product groups;
Novel locking mechanisms, intelligent Man Machine Interfacing, eX / ATEX certified solutions, data transmission, software, control engineering, intelligent valve interfacing, tamper proof design solutions, signaling & sensoring, Partial stroke testing, ESD diagnostics.
Taking into account the multiple existing programs in the different product groups, different internship assignments can be created ranging from front-end concept development up to more downstream product development and manufacturing engineering. All areas as mentioned before can be involved in these assignments, all to a different extent.
Based on the state of these current programs (all in different stages), also connected to the commercial new business development approach at dit bedrijf, the opportunities for a variety of tailored internship assignments are numerous. Because of the structural embedding of this team of interns in the dit bedrijf organization, there will be a focus on a team-based approach in which different specializations are present. The interns will have their separate specialization and in the meantime also have the opportunity to develop new products in a team based environment.
