Taakomschrijving

MIRCURY is offering an exciting internship opportunity for the period September 2024 to February 2025. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to gain experience of running a conflict resolution start-up in both strategic and operational terms, and partake in developing innovative workshops on the multidisciplinary approach to conflict resolution, which will be presented at universities and educational institutions, internationally. As an intern, you will support communication efforts, manage social media platforms, such as LinkedIn (and occasionally X/Twitter), update our brand book and create promotional material. Additionally, you will support the development and facilitation of workshops with a focus on teaching academics, students and professionals on multidisciplinarity in conflict resolution and dialogue as a peace-building tool, ensuring they are engaging, informative, and impactful.

Werkzaamheden

Maintaining a distinctive ‘house style’: a cohesive visual identity for our website, social media platforms and other materials. 

LinkedIn content management: write and publish engaging LinkedIn posts on an as needed basis. 

Website management: contribute to the improvement of our online presence by updating our current website. 

Promotional materials design: designing posters, flyers and business cards to be used for conferences and events;

Workshop Development: Design and develop innovative workshops on our multidisciplinary approach to conflict resolution.

Content Creation: Create engaging content and materials for workshops, ensuring they are informative and impactful.

Facilitation Support: Assist in development and the facilitation of workshops, including managing logistics and participant engagement.

Feedback Collection: Gather and analyze feedback from workshop participants to continuously improve content and delivery.

Ad hoc operational tasks: handle ad hoc activities related to the operational functioning of the organization.

Gewenste profiel

A (preferably) Master’s degree student with a background in communications, conflict studies, psychology, education, or related field. It can be possible to include this internship as your Master’s Placement.

Interested in and affinity with conflict resolution work;

Driven do-er with an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit;

Fluent in English (fluency in Dutch is appreciated, but not required);

Good writing skills and command of the MS Office suite, (web-)design using WiX, Canva etc., and proficient social media skills, e.g. LinkedIn;

Capable of working independently and within timeframes;

Available to start in September/October, part-time, (at least) 8 hours a week.
