Sales Intern
Haarlem/home office – 32/40 hrs p.w.

Werkzaamheden
Your role
You will be part of your EMEA Motorized Sales Team. Within Europe, Middle-East, and Africa, MYLAPS has established a firm motorized customer base. Our timekeeping systems can be found on over 80% of racetracks worldwide, and an ever-larger set of customers is increasingly relying on MYLAPS’ Race Control solutions for its day-to-day track operations.
These racetracks, ranging from world-class Grand Prix circuits, to local karting and motocross tracks, are making use of a variety of (digital) solutions for their live timing, digital flagging, crowd control.
As part of your Internship / Research Project, you will firstly learn more about these solutions, before beginning a project to map out what (if anything) is available and used at different tracks across the EMEA region. Â
You’ll help define and then follow a clear strategy, using historical data and by directly contacting the various to help us gain a detailed and accurate picture of the market – including, locations, contact details, size, ownership, systems in use and future plans.
With your detailed overview of the customer’s locations, and the different systems and solutions used by various tracks, you will assist the Regional Sales Managers to prepare sales pitches, target specific customer groups more effectively and improve the overall efficiency of business trips.
Deliverables
At the end of your internship, your goal is it to have:
- Finalized a comprehensive database of the available racetracks in the EMEA region per sports discipline (car/bike, karting, motocross, speedway and even radio control);
- Updated the database per customer with relevant product and personnel contact information;
- Contributed to a specific sales pitch that targets a pre-defined customer group (e.g.: outdoor karting tracks);
- Assist in on-site product demonstrations during live motorsport events;
- Grasped an understanding of sports’ timekeeping during multiple races;
- Used and updated relevant CRM systems with information.

Your Profile Our ideal candidate has the following profile:
- Following a relevant HBO study;
- Passion for sports & technology;
- High level of written and verbal communication skills, good English skills (both verbal and written);
- Creative, self-starting, eager to learn, confident and eager to win;
- Keen to complete the whole project, leaving no gaps, and push tracks to share information;
- Accurate and structured;
- Only citizens of The Netherlands are considered for this internship.
