Taakomschrijving

The global IT Support Specialist is responsible for being a point of contact for all IT related questions at all user levels, responding to user needs in a timely manner, and ensuring the optimal running of all IT systems. Among other duties, the IT Support Specialist collaborates with IT Vendors of systems and software that are being used within this company.

The global IT Support Specialist role requires strong technical skills, good troubleshooting and problemsolving
abilities, strong interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders from various departments and
levels, understand their technical needs, problems and implement solutions.

Werkzaamheden

  • Resolve IT support requests from employees as first line support, working in collaboration with third party IT Vendors.
  • Answer employee questions regarding computer systems and applications.
  • Gather and analyze data to diagnose problems with computer systems and applications.
  • Change configurations, settings and permissions to fix computer issues and applications.
  • Generate sign ins for new hires during the onboarding process, removing sign-in credentials when offboarding employees.
  • Install new software and hardware drivers and update existing ones as needed.
  • Log all service requests, update tickets as needed and update employees on the status of their service requests.
  • Support of workstation software, hardware, printers, and phones.
  • Analyze and understand the needs of stakeholders, identify and register vulnerabilities, and boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement applications and software upgrades and troubleshoot any performance issues.
  • Work on identifying the root cause of recurring issues and providing more permanent solutions.
  • Conduct regular IT process, IT system, IT Vendor and IT Security audits to identify risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Help ensure that security threats or breaches are promptly addressed and assist in troubleshooting security related issues.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Gewenste profiel

  • In study for Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; other languages are an advantage.
  • Communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with the stakeholders. Attention to response fast and in detail.
  • Good problem-solving skills: ability to quickly and efficiently identify issues, analyze problems and identify appropriate solutions.
