What is expected from you?

Consumers visit dit bedrijf every day to be inspired by the most beautiful Home & Living brands. Suppliers look to sell through us in a growing rate and there are constant processes to improve on an operational level. As a Buying & Operations intern you will be involved in everything that contributes to an all-round support of the Buying or Operations Team. 

As an intern you will be involved in everything that contributes to an all-round support of the the Team. Think of:  

• Acquisition of new partners. Our Buying Managers are constantly looking for parties that have to make a new offer. You will keep an eye on the market and provide the Buying Managers with input and data for successful acquisition.
• Onboarding new partners. To launch new parties on our platform, technical integration is necessary, we have to organize all the content and there are a number of administrative processes that we have to follow. You will provide support here on all fronts.
• Working with our carriers to plan delivery routes, weekly planning and problem solve when things do not go as planned. 
• Relationship management current partners (seller, carriers). Together with our partners, we are constantly looking for ways to excel and grow. of the return process, an improved consumer experience on the website, communication towards the customer, etc. You will play an active role in improving these kinds of processes and taking on projects.

In this you get a lot of responsibility and you are the “owner” of your own projects. You interact with the other Buying, OPS and Tech members every week to discuss progress and take up new projects. This requires a hands-on mindset and an ambitious nature (not being satisfied with the status quo).

What You’ll Be Doing

• No day is the same within a start-up and there is a lot of room to develop yourself in all kinds of areas (from process optimisation and project management to the technical side of an e-commerce marketplace).
• You work closely with the leader(s) on the most important link in the development of an e-commerce marketplace within the home & living sector: improving the offer on dit bedrijf;
• You actively help during the onboarding and integration of brands, tools and partners. 
• You help improve operational processes and you take responsibility for this.

Gewenste profiel

Who are you?

• You are available immediately for a minimum of 4 months (longer availability is an advantage).
• You are following a university degree or HBO in related fields such as business administration and supply chain
• You are a go-getter and team player, you are also solution-oriented, flexible and you take initiative.
• You communicate easily via email, telephone and face-to-face
• You have more than average interest in e-commerce and building a webshop
• You are strong with Excel and handy with technical systems
• You are fluent in English (Dutch fluency an advantage)
• Must be already registered to study in the Netherland
