We launched a competition called ‘Join our Core’ for young people between the ages of 18 and 34 to submit their social business ideas. What is the role? Community Mobilizers will work to connect local and leading young social entrepreneurs to Join Our Core across 9 countries in Europe. The objectives are to boost outreach, brand, and awareness of the Join Our Core 2013 competition to ensure high quality applications. You will be working alongside a local Ben & Jerry’s brand rep to tight deadlines to launch Join Our Core 2013 in your country. A combination of Outreach, Relationship Management, Social Media, Marketing and Research, the Community mobiliser role involves the following key areas of responsibility: ● Translation (if necessary) of text-based and multimedia marketing collateral ● Research of ○ In-country Social Enterprise landscape ○ 3-4 ‘Network’ Partners (umbrella organisations) ○ Individual social entrepreneurs or young Changemakers ○ University networks with a focus on social change ○ Nonprofit organisations and community projects ● Outreach to the above organisations, individuals and nonprofits to ensure quality entries to the competition ● Social Media – act as the leading voice for #JoinOurCore in your country, generating conversation across multiple media platforms ● Events – planning high profile launch event in partnership with Ben & Jerry’s and dit bedrijf ● Partnership building with key sector organisations, including media partners. Hours: 2.5 Days on Join Our Core Contract: Temporary for 5 months Salary: Travel, food and living allowance, exact payment to be determined. Location: Flexible – must be based in The Netherlands Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience General ● Degree educated (or equivalent) with a critical mindset ● Fluent in spoken and written English ● Excellent writing and numeracy skills ● Strong team player, able to work successfully with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams with the ability to work in a small team and at your own initiative ● Meticulous approach to your work and a great eye for detail and accuracy ● Flexible approach to role and responsibilities ● Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction ● Ability to prioritize & manage multiple tasks. ● Word processing documents, such as letters, presentations and reports ● Ability to work towards tight deadlines and hit targets Translation ● Ability to accurately translate marketing collateral, web copy and multimedia scripts and tutorials from and to English ● First-class writing and editing skills in English and mother-tongue; exceptional grammar and spelling in both languages Research & Marketing ● Advanced Internet-based research skills ● Experience of content management systems (CMS), document collaboration systems, Excel or similar spreadsheet applications, social media, email marketing tools and online content applications Outreach, On-boarding and Training ● Excellent follow-up skills, detail oriented, and superbly organized ● Target driven - we will be setting you partnership targets to blow out of the water ● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal ‐ particularly on the telephone and written ● Full understanding of Social Entrepreneurship in your local area, plus an understanding of dit bedrijf and Ben & Jerry’s ● Ability to respond appropriately to a wide range of enquiries.
