Dit bedrijf is an international chemical and food ingredients trading and distribution house. From our Rotterdam office we buy, sell and move industrial chemicals, solvents and related products across Europe, Africa and Latin America, using isotanks, tank trucks and containers. We are a small, entrepreneurial and international team, and we are growing fast.

As our Operations Intern you sit at the heart of how deals actually get executed. Working next to our traders and operators, you help turn confirmed orders into delivered shipments. This is a practical, logistics focused role, not a management or strategy internship, and a strong fit for someone who likes to make things move and keep them on track.

Werkzaamheden

Under the tutelage of Rebain’s Logistics department, while maintaining cross-departmental commnucation, you will assist by doing the following tasks:•    Coordinate the execution of trades from order confirmation through to delivery.

•    Arrange and follow up transport by isotank, tank truck and container, and keep shipments on schedule.

•    Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, warehouses, surveyors and customs agents.

•    Prepare and check shipping and compliance documents such as CMRs, bills of lading, certificates of analysis (COA) and safety and technical data sheets (SDS, TDS).

•    Track orders, flag delays early and help solve day to day operational issues.

•    Support traders with freight quotes, lead times and supplier and customer follow up.

•    Keep deal and shipment information accurate and up to date in our systems.

Gewenste profiel

•    Studying logistics, operations management, supply chain or a related field at MBO or HBO level (STC, Hogeschool Rotterdam or a similar institution).

•    A practical, hands on interest in operations and logistics rather than general management.

•    Well organised, accurate and proactive, comfortable juggling several things at once.

•    At ease with Excel and email, and quick to learn new systems.

•    Languages. Fluent English and Dutch are required for this position. French is desirable, and Spanish is a plus.

•    Available to start in September 2026 for six months, based at our Rotterdam office.
